Royal Vienna Style Hand Painted Lady Playing Bodhran Cobalt Beaded Gold Demitasse Cup. Nice porcelain demitasse or miniature cup. Decorated in the Royal Vienna style with a hand painted scene depicting a woman in classical garb playing what appears to be a bodhran. The scene is framed by gold gilding and gold scrollwork and small white enameled beading. The cup has a cobalt blue background. With gold gilding along the lip, foot rim, and to the handle. Marked on the bottom with an underglaze blue pseudo / spurious beehive. Probably circa 1890 to 1915. Has some wear to the gilding, but otherwise good condition with no chips or cracks. Measures approximately 2 1/2 inches wide including the handle x 1 3/4 inches tall. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the piece.
