Antique Moorcroft Pottery Leaf & Berry Vase Double Signed Royal Warrant 6. This is a fabulously painted vase by William Moorcroft, which was made by him in England around 1930. The pattern is “Leaf and Berry” and it looks like blueberries hiding behind wonderfully colored leaves. The background and the interior are cobalt blue. The vivid colors in the leaves are mix of yellows, mauves and greens and they have striations of clay around and through them to make them pop. The berries themselves are edged with the same technique and they go from pink to maroon to cobalt blue. This is quite a spectacular piece and it is signed twice by William Moorcroft, besides the Royal Warrant embossed stamp of, POTTER TO HM. The vase stands 6″ tall and about 4″ in diameter at the widest and 3 at the opening. It is free of chips, cracks, but does have some crazing in the glaze.
