Wonderful antique porcelain vase, decorated with careful golden gilt, stretching through floral and natural designs around the body to the angular yet ornate handles. The opening is curious in design, very reminiscent of natural patterns. Stamped with the British Design Registry number of Rd No 172226, indicating this piece was patented in 1891 and so produced then or slightly later. Also marked with the letter N and 1216 in golden gilt. While style and level of craftsmanship of the decoration are indicative of Grainger & Co Royal Worcester Porcelain, the oviform shape and the general design are very similar to the works of Robert Hanke of Ladowitz, Austria. 28.5 cm in height. 470 g Excellent antique condition, please carefully regard all photos.
